Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 By the Book that makes things clear,- 2 Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. 3 Indeed it is transcribed in the Original Book with Us; sublime and full of wisdom. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 Many a prophet had We sent to the earlier communities, 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 We therefore destroyed the people who were more forceful than these, and the example of the earlier ones has already gone by. 8 If you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will answer: "The Mighty and All-knowing created them," 9 He it is Who made this earth for you a cradle and made in it pathways for you that you may find the way to your destination; 10 And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. Then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the dead), 11 And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. 12 So that when you sit astride of them and think of the bounties of your Lord, you may say: "All glory to Him who subjugated these for us. We were incapable of doing so. 13 indeed, to our Lord we are turning' 14 Yet they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate! 15
