And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “I have no relation whatsoever with your deities.” 26 "Except Him (i.e. I worship none but Allah Alone) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me." 27 And Abraham left behind this word to endure among his posterity so that they may return to it. 28 I gave them and their fathers days of enjoyment until the truth and a clear Messenger came to them. 29 And when the Truth came to them they said: “This is just sorcery and we reject it.” 30 They also said: "Why was this Qur'an not sent down to some great man of the two cities?" 31 Are they the distributors of your Lord’s mercy? We have distributed among them their comforts in the life of this world, and gave high status to some over others so that they mock at each other; and the mercy of your Lord is better than all what they hoard. 32 And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend. 33 and (silver) doors to their houses, and couches (of silver) upon which they would recline; 34 And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous. 35
