If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him. 36 and they bar them from the way, and they think they are guided, 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 And it will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. 39 (Muhammad), can you make the deaf hear or guide the blind or the one who is clearly in error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is inspired in you. Verily, you are on a Straight Path. 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
