Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 It shall not profit you today, since you did evil, that you are partners in the chastisement. 39 Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? 40 Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them, 41 Rather We will certainly show you that which We have promised them; for surely We are the possessors of full power over them. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. You are truly on the right path. 43 And lo! it is in truth a Reminder for thee and for thy folk; and ye will be questioned. 44 Ask those of Our Messengers We sent before thee: Have We appointed, apart from the All-merciful, gods to be served? 45
