Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 whereupon, behold, these [evil impulses] bar all such from the path [of truth,] making them think that they are guided aright! 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 (It will be said to them) “And you will not benefit from them this day, whereas you are unjust – for you are all partners in the punishment.” 39 Can you, (O Prophet), then make the deaf hear, or direct to the Right Way the blind or one lost in manifest error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped beside the Beneficent? 45
