We shall make satan the companion of whoever ignores the remembrance of the Beneficent God. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! 38 (It will be said to them) “And you will not benefit from them this day, whereas you are unjust – for you are all partners in the punishment.” 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 Whether We take thee away, We shall take vengeance upon them, 41 Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them. 42 Therefore hold fast to what We have divinely revealed to you; indeed you are upon the Straight Path. (The Holy Prophets can never go astray). 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 Ask those of Our Messengers We sent before thee: Have We appointed, apart from the All-merciful, gods to be served? 45
