But as for anyone who chooses to remain blind to the remembrance of the Most Gracious, to him We assign an [enduring] evil impulse, to become his other self: 36 And indeed those devils prevent them from the Straight Path, and they think they are on guidance! 37 When he returns to us, he will say (to satan), "Would that there had been as long a distance between me and you as that between the East and West. What a terrible companion you have been". 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 or We show you a part of that which We have promised them, for indeed We have power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 You can ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We had commanded them to worship other gods besides the Beneficent God?" 45
