1/4 Hizb 50

۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 and say: "Which is better - our deities or he?" [But] it is only in the spirit of dispute that they put this comparison before thee: yea, they are contentious folk! 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. 60 And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path. 61 Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not? 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
