۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 Jesus was a servant of Ours to whom We had granted favors and whom We made as an example for the Israelites. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 67
