۞ No sooner the example of the son of Mary was mentioned than, lo and behold, your people raised a clamour 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 Verily he (i.e., Jesus) is a portent of the Hour. So be in no doubt concerning it and follow Me. This is the Straight Way. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not? 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
