۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But the sects from among themselves differed. So woe to those who do wrong (by ascribing things to 'Iesa (Jesus) that are not true) from the torment of a painful Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
