۞ When the son of Mary is mentioned as an example, your people turn away from it 57 And say: "Are our aliha (gods) better or is he ['Iesa (Jesus)]?" We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father). 59 If We had so willed We could have made some of you into angels to become your successors on earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 NOW WHEN Jesus came [to his people] with all evidence of the truth, he said: "I have now come unto you with wisdom, and to make clear unto you some of that on which you are at variance: hence, be conscious of God, and pay heed unto me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day. 65 Are they looking for anything except the Hour (to overtake them). It will come upon them suddenly when they are unaware! 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
