Al-Zukhruf 6 of 7

۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 (Jesus) was only a creature whom We favoured and made an example for the children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when (Prophet) Jesus came with clear signs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify to you some of the matters about which you differ. Fear Allah and obey me. 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 The various factions among them differed -- woe then to those who did wrong: they will suffer the punishment of a painful Day. 65 What are they waiting for – except the Last Day, that it may suddenly come upon them while they are unaware? 66 Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path. 67
