۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel. 59 If We had so willed We could have made some of you into angels to become your successors on earth. 60 He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me. This is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not? 66 On that Day close friends shall become enemies of each other, except those who fear (Allah). 67
