۞ And when the son of Maryam (Mary) is quoted as an example [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) is worshipped like their idols), behold! Your people cry aloud (laugh out at the example). 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel. 59 Had it been Our Will We would have made angels among you as successors in the earth. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 And do not ever let the devil stop you; he is indeed your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not? 66 Friends on that day will be foes one to another, save those who kept their duty (to Allah). 67
