۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And had We willed We could have appointed angels born of you in the earth to succeed each other. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 Let not Satan misdirect you. He is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 On that Day even bosom friends shall become enemies to one another, all except the God-fearing. 67
