O My slaves! For you there is no fear this day, nor is it ye who grieve; 68 you who believed in Our Signs and had surrendered yourselves (to Us)! 69 Enter the garden, you and your wives; you shall be made happy. 70 Golden platters and goblets will be passed around, and everything the heart desires and pleases the eye will be there, where you will abide for ever. 71 This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of your deeds which you used to do (in the life of the world). 72 Herein you will have abundant fruits of which you will eat.” 73 The sinners will certainly dwell for ever in the torment of Hell. 74 It is not relaxed for them, and they despair therein. 75 And We did not oppress them at all, but they themselves were unjust. 76 They will call (to the keeper of Hell-gate): "O Malik, let your Lord decide our fate." He will answer: "You are to stay." 77 'We brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth.' 78 Have they determined upon a course? Then We too are determined. 79 Or do they, perchance, think that We do not hear their hidden thoughts and their secret confabulations? Yea, indeed, [We do,] and Our heavenly forces are with them, recording [all]. 80 Say, "If the All Merciful had a son, I would be the first to worship him." 81 Exalted is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe. 82 So leave them alone to indulge in vain discourse and amuse themselves until they come face to face with that Day which they have been promised. 83 And He it is Who in the heaven is Allah, and in the earth Allah. He is the Wise, the Knower. 84 And blessed be He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and with Whom is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Whom you (all) will be returned. 85 Those whom they worship besides God are not able to intercede, except for those among them who believe in the Truth (God) and who know whom to intercede for. 86 If you were to ask them: “Who created them?” they will surely say: “Allah.” Whence are they, then, being led astray? 87 We call to witness the cry of the Messenger: “O Lord, these are a people not wont to believe!” 88 Then bear with them (O Muhammad) and say: Peace. But they will come to know. 89
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Vanity (Al-Zukhruf). Sent down in Mecca after Consultation (Al-Shooraa) before Smoke (Al-Dukhaan)
