Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
