We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 These people say, 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
