And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
