Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
