And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
