So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
