And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
