We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
