And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
