And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 These people say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
