We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
