And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
