We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
