And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 These people say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
