Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
