And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
