We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
