So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
