And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Verily these! they say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
