We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
