We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
