So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
