Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
