Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 like the dregs of oil, it shall boil in their bellies, 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 then pour boiling water over his head as chastisement. 48 "Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous! 49 This is what you doubted?" 50 Verily the God-fearing shall be in a secure place 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
