Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, – 43 shall be the food of the sinful. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 Verily the God-fearing will be in a place secure 51 In Gardens and water-springs. 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 As such, We shall wed them to wide eyed houris (the virgins of Paradise). 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 as a favour from your Lord. That is the great triumph. 57 And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded. 58 So you wait. They are also waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
