The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 Then pour boiling water over his head as punishment. 48 'Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble. 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 among gardens and springs, 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 And We have made this Qur’an easy in your language, for them to understand. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59
