Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 Saying “Taste it! Indeed you only are the most honourable, the dignified!” 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 Amid gardens and watersprings, 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 And We have made it easy in thy language; they might haply be admonished. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
