The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 As does boiling water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water: 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security. 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59
