Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 “Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.” 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured. 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 A grace from your Lord; this is the great achievement. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59
