Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 'Take him, and thrust him into the midst of Hell, 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 Within gardens and springs, 52 wearing [garments] of silk and brocade, facing one another [in love]. 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 So have We made it easy in your tongue that they may be mindful. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59
