Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 as the boiling of the hot water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head, 48 Saying “Taste it! Indeed you only are the most honourable, the dignified!” 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 Surely those who fear and follow the straight path will be in a place of peace and security 51 In Gardens and water-springs. 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait then; they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
