Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo! the tree of Zaqqum, 43 Will be the food of the Sinful,- 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 like boiling water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous! 49 Surely this is what you disputed about. 50 Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another (on thrones). 53 Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. 54 They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. 57 Therefore We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue. They may haply take a warning. 58 Wait thou then; verily they also are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
