Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HaMeem. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs unto the believers. 3 And in your own nature, and in [that of] all the animals which He scatters [over the earth] there are messages for people who are endowed with inner certainty. 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds (i.e. sometimes towards the east or north, and sometimes towards the south or west etc., sometimes bringing glad tidings of rain etc., and sometimes bringing the torment), are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar, 7 He hears God's revelations being recited to him, yet persists in his arrogance as if he had never heard them. Forewarn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. Those who reject the revelations of their Lord will suffer the most painful punishment. 11
